Dr. Sherman is the director of brain health and psychological health at the Copeman Healthcare Centre, and a clinical neuropsychologist with expertise in brain health and neuropsychological assessment. Dr. Sherman also heads a private practice in neuropsychology where she conducts medico-legal assessments. Dr. Sherman has served as neuropsychologist, researcher and consultant for hospital neurology and neurosurgery departments, and is the author of two books. She is the coauthor of the Child and Adolescent Memory Profile (ChAMP), the Memory Validity Profile (MVP), and the Multidimensional Everyday Memory Ratings for Youth (MEMRY). She has also authored over 80 scientific articles and book chapters, and has delivered numerous presentations at national and international conferences. Dr. Sherman has served as editorial board member for the Journal of the International Neuropsychological Society and Child Neuropsychology, in addition to serving as journal reviewer for numerous scientific journals in the area of neuropsychology and neurology.
Dr. Sherman holds a doctorate in clinical psychology with neuropsychology specialization from the University of Victoria, completed her internship at London Health Sciences Center in Ontario, and completed postdoctoral training at UCLA. She has held prior positions as adjunct associate professor at the University of Calgary in the Department of Clinical Neurosciences and in the Department of Paediatrics, and as adjunct professor at the University of British Columbia.
