California Employee Personal Information Collection Notice

This notice aims to give you information regarding the personal information (i.e. information that directly or indirectly identifies you) ("Employee Personal Information") collected, and the purposes for the collection, by Psychological Assessment Resources, Inc. ("PAR") and its divisions including InVista ( "we" or "us" or "our"). Employees for the purposes of this notice include employees, directors, officers, independent contractors and part-time workers of PAR.

Employee Personal Information collected:

  1. Identification data (e.g. name, postal address, email address, date of birth, social security number, signature, and passport number);
  2. Financial information, including bank account details;
  3. Benefits information (e.g. health insurance and retirement account contributions);
  4. Records of work and education history (including a resume or CV provided by the employee);
  5. Records of performance (including evaluations and ratings, grievances and disciplinary records);
  6. General organizational data (such as the employee's department, work location, job title and seniority);
  7. Information Technology data (e.g. email address, passwords, access rights and usage data);
  8. Characteristics of protected classifications under California or federal law (e.g., race, sex, age, and marital status); and
  9. Other information voluntarily disclosed by the employee.

Purpose(s) for the collection:

PAR collects Employee Personal Information for the foregoing reasons:

  1. To comply with its employment law obligations and equal opportunity monitoring purposes;
  2. To make a decision about employment, recruitment or appointment;
  3. To administer human resource functions including performance reviews, talent management and succession planning, sickness leave, contacting next of kin in the event of an emergency, training, administering business travel arrangements, internal directories and organizational charts, internal communications, professional elections, social and cultural activities directly implemented by PAR, and dealing with disciplinary action, termination and retirement of employees;
  4. Administering payroll, the payment of expenses, remuneration and other benefits such as pensions, health insurance, and life insurance;
  5. Managing employee communications including authorizing, granting and administering access to or use of PAR systems, facilities, devices and records including management of email accounts;
  6. Carrying out audits and to investigate and resolve complaints, grievances or misconduct;
  7. Preparing for and acting in relation to inquiries, investigations, or proceedings by governmental, administrative, judicial or regulatory authorities, including civil litigation;
  8. Monitoring employees where done in accordance with PAR policies and procedures and applicable laws; and
  9. In connection with a potential asset or stock acquisition of PAR, or the outsourcing or insourcing of services provided by employees, providing reasonable diligence material to a third party or meeting any disclosure obligations as required by law.

If you do not provide certain Employee Personal Information when requested, PAR may not be able to perform the contract it has entered into with you (such as, paying or providing a benefit to you), and/or PAR may be prevented from complying with its legal obligations (such as, to ensure the health and safety of its employees).
